The MK-1 development system from BAJI Labs consists of a main development board with a multitude of built in functions.  What separates MK-1 from other products on the market is that none of the functions are hard mapped to the processor pins.  Instead, all of the MK-1 functions along with the processor pins are broken out on a removable key. The key allows for any function to be easily mapped to any processor pin using bread boarding wires.  There is also an auxiliary area on the key  where you can bread board your own circuits. This concept allows you to keep your design on an inexpensive key! Freeing up the MK-1 main board for other projects without ripping up your old design or buying a new expensive development board.  MK-1 was designed with the PIC Microcontroller and Basic Stamp* in mind!

The concept for MK-1 was born out of a frustration of apparent lack of flexibility in development boards.  As designers we saw the need to build a multifunctional development board that was flexible enough to allow us to develop on 100s of different controllers and processors (including the BASIC Stamp!) from many different manufacturers. MK-1 will accept any part that comes in a dip package of up to 40 pins. The  Design Key design allows for easy remapping of any of the 40 pins to any of the functions on MK-1.
