Three Microchip PIC 28 Pin Circuit Boards, Basic Atom - $7 +S/H

These 2″ x 2″ circuit boards were originally design for the 28 pin PIC16F876A Basic Atom interpreter chips but also make great development boards for any 28 pin PIC development project. I have a bunch of these in my lab and just need to get rid of them. The board layout includes:

  • TO-220 Regulator Circuit
  • RS232 Level Shifter Circuit with DB9 Connector
  • Resonator Connections
  • Filter Caps
  • I/O Pins Connections

The schematic can be found at this link:

http://basicmicro.com/downloads/docs/Atom28Chip.pdf

You get all three boards for $7.00 plus shipping. See the Ebay listing at http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=160318003544QQssPageNameZMERC_VIC_RCRX_Pr4_PcY_BIN_IT&refitem=160315330366&itemcount=4&refwidgetloc=closed_view_item&usedrule1=CrossSell_LogicX&refwidgettype=cross_promot_widget&_trksid=p284.m183&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26its%3DS%252BI%26itu%3DUCI%252BSI%26otn%3D4

Have You Voted Yet? If not, vote for COMA!

Now to sway your vote, but here’s my favorite design in the PIC32 Design Challenge. I wish this could be productized now!

emWin: PC Evaluation Version

emWin is written in ANSI “C” and can handle any LCD, any resolution and any color depth. There is no need to change the source code of the application to use the software for different color depths. All you need to do is to modify the configuration file.

Free Podcast - The Business Side of Selecting an RTOS

John Carbone, Vice President of Marketing at Express Logic, discusses the “business side” of selecting an embedded real-time operating system (RTOS). Key topics include RTOS, embedded Linux, licensing, and the costs affecting the “total cost of ownership” of an RTOS across the design and deployment lifecycle. PicPack 2.0 Released

BoostC compiler users have implemented code for USB protocol stack on PIC18 targets. Unlike some other USB protocol stack code available, this source code has no licensing limitations so that users can freely share code derivatives and improvements. Sample code is available including examples of a mouse and a USB serial port. The majority of the code has been developed by BoostC user Ian Harris and the source code can be downloaded from embeddedadventures.blogspot.com

PicPack 2.0 released

Now available… Including better USB documentation and a cracking USB serial (CDC) demo.

You can download it here. You can also also get PicPack from GitHub - updated regularly.

New PIC family & tools for LCDs

No “deal” but I like it.

Free Demo of the MPC C Compiler For PIC

MPC supports the Microchip PIC 12/14/16/17 families, including 8K and flash parts. The MPC Code Development System includes:
·         an optimizing C Cross-compiler
·         the BCLink linker
·         an Integrated Development Environment and editor
·         a built-in macro cross-assembler.
