From the Electronics Hobbyist Blog, a coupon good for 20% off the purchase of a GLO-216 serial OLED display. GLOs are bright, high-contrast OLED displays that interface directly with RS-232 or USART output from a PIC at 9600bps. They drop right into a standard 2×16 LCD footprint, and offer four font sizes from two lines of 16 characters to one line of 8 extra-large characters. Photo here.
These displays are the perfect alternative to serial LCDs for fast prototyping, short-run production, instruments, or just the WOW factor of a bright display. Operating temperature range reads like a typo to those familiar with LCDs: -40 to +80 degrees C.
